WIO's - Wool In Ones

A wool in one may also be called a wio or wool in two.  It is a wool cover with snaps to snap in the absorbent layer.  A contoured mini diaper (or mini), being the more common choice.  A wio is technically 2 pieces cuz the absorbentbpart snaps into the wool so you can separate to lanolize the wool.  I have seen one sewn like an aio with the absorbent part sewn into the wool but this makes no sense to me cuz you have to lanolize wool on occasion and you can't lanolize the absorbent part or it repels instead of absorbs.  Anyways I recommend a mini with front and back snaps.  You can also sew an wio like an HF but it will take a long time to dry and like I said there is the lanolizing issue.  For those of us who love love love our wool (and like other wool user's I do), this is a great idea.  The downside of course would be poop leaks onto the wool, but sometimes that happens.  The other downside is convincing your SO that you need more wool lol, but if your starting out that isn't an issue yet lol.  I recommend a machine washable and dryable (fully felted wool) for WIO's as they are going to just make your diaper washing life easier.  I have a few covers I can machine wash and dry it is much easier then finding your favorite wool all shrunk cuz hubby helped and washed the diapers while you were sick.

Pros:
• wool is bullet proof! Nothing beats night time diapering like wool!
• easy use for wool lovers
Separate wool and absorbent layers for laundry
• easy for babysitters when snapped together

Cons:
•may sometimes get poop on cover
• pricey
•some wool can't be washed and dried

To make you need:
•wool (knit it, buy it or upcycle it), I recommend machine washable and dryable.
•absorbent fabric for mini

Suggested:
Snaps to snap in mini

Optional:
•water resistant fleece for bottom of mini
•decorative outer
•wicking topper for mini
